What passions surge within the heart of Man — The love of life and air and ocean’s roar, The lure of the sea where all life began, The mists over mountains where eagles soar... But what of the fine grandeur of the land And sea, there to reach and within be taken — For a poet may write with a steady hand In awe of earthly charms - yet be not shaken. But a Woman’s smile is the truest wonder — For only She can turn his inner river Into a raging cataract of thunder — Only She can cause his quill to quiver... CG |
