Lights Dim Tonights the night That the lights dim For my friend It Looks like his end I hear screams In my dreams Something seems To be out of place So i went to him And the lights were dim Theres a cut arcoss his wrist How could i have missed The signs How could i have been so blind As the parametics arrive They try to revive The guy He didnt survive So Tonights the night Our lives have dimmed For my friend Has met his end July 12th 2005 |

This is very very sad and holds an ammonition: may we always recognize the signs of unhappiness and may we be able to mend what needs to be mended. Lights dim, indeed. Love, Margherita |

A sad and tragic end to one's life and this poem was most assuredly written "FromtheHeart". Warm, welcoming hug, Earth Angel |

xFromtheheartx, I'm sorry, it hurts me deeply to imagine the loss of your friend. May The Spirit comfort you and brighten the light once more. |

xFromtheHeartx, this is so very sad, none of us know what goes on in someone elses brain, all might seem right, but be wrong as hell, we must just enjoy each day as it pans out, good writing but not a good memory. Be well my friend and take care. Sincerely Rick |

Casey~ So tragically this very event is played out too, too many times in life~ Sometimes ... the 'signs' are easily read ... sometimes they are not ...~ We cannot prevent that which we do not know will happen ... hoping this isn't something so real in your life ... but, if it is ... know that you should wear no guilt~ Sadly, that's easy for me to say ... as it didn't happen in mine~ Yet I have known friends whose very lives were devastated by an incident of suicide, who have carried the guilt of 'not having known' of the cries for help ... for many, many years~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*When the heart grieves over what it has lost, |

This was a really sad and depressing poem. I know how this feels a little. Back in 1989 my Mom almost overdosed on her sleeping pills. But she told my Dad to flush them down the toilet. I really liked this poem. Keep up the awesome poetry Casey!!! Poetry is beauty in words. |
