Today's Aphorism: Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Obviously this refers to the old fashion clocks, the ones with hands that talk, the ones that strike seven times nine and push you around with their hands gesticulating: Hurry! ... hurry! ... the clocks that have invisible feet; the ones that chase you. Hence the expression" clock on the wall keeps pushing me. Ever been chased by a pack of outraged, rampaging clocks? Hence the expression" beat the clock, because otherwise the clock will beat you. Or catch you between its hands at noon or at midnight, for that is when Midnite really gets to work, at Midnight. Oops ... that's more than I had planned to say about clocks ... Anyway ... Tomorrow's aphorism: This is an artificial holiday made up by human beings. Saturday's aphorism: Every good story has a girl. Obviously this refers to the stories written by human beings. Sunday's aphorism: Wait! ... Not yet! ... Anything for the laughter of midnitesun ... ... ... There's a spotlight waiting No matter who you are. Cuz everybody's got a song to sing. Everyone's a star. Hi, jaime! "Ever been chased by a pack of outraged, rampaging clocks?" ~ I would rather be chased by an outraged, rampaging clock than have my own "clock cleaned"! lol That is quite a picture you painted! I enjoyed the read and I am sure Kacy will as well! Loving hugs, EA |

Ah, our Jaime! You made me laugh out loud...and it felt wonderful to do so! I have been so down lately - and here you are, as upbeat as ever! Thank God for you! I needed this poem, more than I knew...for the clocks tick and tock endlessly, of course, just as the swing of the earth and the wax and wane of the moon's course... this was good, it was... and for me, m'friend, it is a certified Keeper! Thank you, Jaime...for putting a smile on my face! |

hey you LOL, yep, as the clock strikes midnight, not midnite, I'll be at the start of my shift (and hoping Blanca and all your family is outta the way of tempestuous Rita! ....keeping my fingers crossed for all in her pathway) and for you?...tell those clock hands to back off! LOL |

Sunshine. I thought of altering it a little and have it say: Ever been chased by a vicious pack of enraged, rampaging clocks? but don't know how to do it online, I've tried and it drives me crazy. I guess I will have to just settle for the laughter of Midnitesun I have also thought that clocks with hands are disabled, because the hands do not have fingers???? Jaime |
