When trust is gone, will love remain?
Or would we both just go insane?
Would we ask of what went wrong?
Or simply find we don’t belong

It starts as lust that we call love
Then complex things we rise above
Then respect we hope will last
Then the memories of the past

Then one wanders off to find
Something more to fill their mind
Then the lust, the love, respect
Turns the trust into neglect

So even though some roots grow deep
They need some love for life to keep
For in a storm the roots may give
And down might fall the way you live

Talk and talk and make things right
For lonely are too many nights
And hard and cold a bed can be
When love of once you never see

The hardest thing to do is leaving someone you love because you dont trust them. Even though there may be love there, it will eventually lead to unhappiness.

You put it perfectly.

I read Earth Angel 1st and this just fits right along with it and it is very good.. and yes where there is no trust is no love because that is what love starts from in my opinion which is trust.. thanks for sharing htis..

You are all wonderful people, it was great to write this poem as a follow up of Linda's, written on the moment and shared right away, as our thoughts all should be, thank you to you all for taking time out to comment, I just love it here.
