Oh! Forget of love and lust and women’s eyes and close the mind to all these thoughts- then listen to the heart speak beat by beat now tell me you don’t live day by day, To look towards tomorrow is forgetful of today- and better it be thinking of the second rather than an hour morrow and time shall be forever in the wait. That dream of what we all shall share alike to wake upon a summer’s morn within those arms- whose arms shall I awake but my own and chase away the thought of you whoever you are, And chaos shall be in the wanting- rather than the needing of the body to hope for more shall be in crime of desire. The moon did marry the sun then drift apart And stars were said to be all as one- but like hearts break stars became the many pieces and I shall weep for I have not wept, That wish that never came those prayers never answered- fools wait for miracles and I wait no more to want is to be all we can be ourselves. I have been happy but given it away Waiting to be happy without no eyes to see- love has tapped upon my shoulders many times but I was waiting for another that never came, And in the fleeting of the thoughts- experience could be said to be the dying of hope when all along I had what I was waiting for. |

Live in the moment and appreciate what you have! Yes, I do believe that this 'Zenful' way of living brings us more peace because we are not mired in negativity from the past nor are we borrowing troubles from the future ~ and with less expectation, there is also less disappointment. This poem sings with the music of a forgotten era....your words transported me to a past when minstrals stories filled the halls...I was captivated by it...**big hugs** |

sometimes just loving for the moment is all there is. love/lust/ no difference, all fleeting anyhow |
