When I look into his eyes
All I see is warmth
And when he smiles I feel so safe
Like in Jesus’ arms.

He respects each thing I say
He never puts me down
And when I’m frightened, so afraid
He never on me frowns.

His words are always lifting
And humour is his style
He’s tender in each moment
And sincere in his smile.

And though we have just started
I know we will succeed
For his concern is my good health
And in God we both believe.

dedicated to my sexual abuse counselor whom I will leave nameless to protect his identity.  Bless you sir.

Jesus lives in my heart!  He can in yours too!!!

What a fantastic ode to your counselor, your friend.  Please tell me you shared it.  I enjoyed this read - seems so happy in intent - a good change from a few I've read recently.  Best of luck in your upward growth!
