Are these echoes returned, these reverberate sounds from the walls of this chamber a construct of man? Curiosity asks, whispers touch and rebound, each an intricate part of some pattern and plan. For this room was designed as a spiritual bridge, with it's reflective walls in a circle surround. Built to concentrate sound to define images through the echoes which seem to rise up from the ground. There're no markers to indicate what's signified, in this most solemn place, yet, the message is clear. Once again whispers touch, and like magic rebound, from their origins, traced, and returned to you here. Take a moment to stand in this spot and reflect. What you hear may contain more than what you'd expect. |

Funny thing about magick, the second you start to question its origin, it disappears. ![]() Enjoyed, doc. |

passing shadows, Thanks! The inspiration for this came from an Indian casino nearby. As I walked into this perfectly constructed echo chamber, it gave me pause. Why, and to what purpose? Maybe I understood, maybe I didn't. None of that matters. What does matter is that I felt something. A connection. Perhaps, someday, someone will read this in that chamber, listening to the echoes, and, who knows what might happen. Doc Serenity, Aw, no, it ain't like that at all, at least not for me. The more I question, dear, the more questions there are. Answers appear, just like magic. The onion skin, the cost of sin, this life I'm in, a quart of gin. No need to go on. It's life, the whole five gallon bucket of it, and I'll drink it down to it's last polluted drop. That's me, the day to day observer of his own demise. Pretty rough huh? Nothin'to it, do it every day. This is why I write. |

Take a moment to stand in this spot and reflect. What you hear may contain more than what you'd expect The craftiness of the echo chamber's construction is reflected in the beauty of this sonnet. Thank You for the metaphor. |

"There're no markers to indicate what's signified, in this most solemn place, yet, the message is clear. Once again whispers touch, and like magic rebound, from their origins, traced, and returned to you here" Sometimes we need to hear what we are saying. ![]() "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |

iliana, Thanks so much, I'm glad you liked. Doc surfer, Thank you, I'm not sure if this would still qualify as a sonnet. I've taken more than my share of liberties with it. Martie, We're about 45 minutes from the Turning Stone casino here, and it was only recently they completed construction of an atrium to there new hotel tower which has the most amazing accoustics. Heck if no-one's around I might I might read this there myself. Doc Susan, Thank you, how true. Doc |
