for not comforting you sooner

and I just want you to know

I am sorry,
and I apologize

for my human frailties and inadequacies

but you see

I too, was overwhelmed

paralyzed with fear and dismay
and so it took more than one day
for my butt to get in gear

but now I am here
for you,
hoping I am not too late

Kacy, I feel the same way and I'm sure many others do too

things are just so huge sometimes, one needs a little time to get a grip on the situation... some things I do understand, some things I don't...

but I don't want to ramble on your thread, so I'll just leave it at that

No helping hand is ever too late because in life if it's not one thing then it's another. Even sharing another's pain emotionally could be halving it until the time is right for action ... but apologies are always good for the soul.
