I need to laugh at life at times People and their ways The trivia, the little things That get them through their days It bemuses me, the things they say When others friends have walked away The sly remarks that make you think How quick a boat of friends could sink I won’t say I’m no the same For I possess the human name But I do try to be as fair As if a little truth I share Between us all there’s right and wrong Within this time that we belong Let us all be mans best friend And stick together till the end |
