Listening to every heart

0 posted 2005-08-29 10:06 AM

Hands holding hands
folding in prayer
words shall stand
as hearts still care

write of your spirit
write of your hopes
give of your heart
so that all might cope

come join the circle
as wider we grow
rise, we shall from
this terrible wind's blow

Hands holding hands
folding in prayer
words shall stand
as hearts still care

I am the darkness
I seek my maiden fair
In tattered and torn velvet dress
To be engulfed in hair
To feel her body warm
For me she wear's no veil
Just eyes that stare ahead
And a face that's very pale
For me the wind whips her
As my thoughts decree
To a warmer place beneath
For there she will be free
Upon my blessed heath
And never will her life be hard
For now she has for she
An opportunity to fill her life
And never to be free
Unless she chooses

I have sent my words to the higher power..

They are already asking for volunteer Contracting Officers from my office to go to Biloxi...I wish I could..

Count me in as well, this is just devastating.  God bless them all, and get them back to normal as soon as humanly possible.

Every hand a helping hand, whether folded in prayer or lifting marooned families from rooftops, our hearts beat one rhythmatic plea.

Thank you for this special piece and everything you and all have done through  annoucements to keep everyone informed. It's awesome!

God bless

Sunshine,

  YES!

   Hands holding hands
folding in prayer

write of your hopes
give of your heart
so that all might cope

come join the circle
as wider we grow
rise, we shall from
this terrible wind's blow

Hands holding hands

I am glad this rose to the top once more.  Each day I have been waking up worried about Karen (Serenity) who is sick right now with, to be honest only God knows, what strain of flu!  I can't imagine the immune system shut-down, and depression growing in NO in this aftermath.

It took such courage for the residents of NO to have weathered that hurricane, and what kind of courage does it take to actually go back and face the very demon that drove you from your home and in this a lot of cases, took it from you?  People returned anyway - to no jobs, devastation, etc. because it was of course, home.

Yes, we can do this, the very least, and should do more, as much as possible to help anyone who has it worse off than us.

So glad I found this especially on a Sunday morning when people tend to devote at least one day to humanity.
