This May Take Me Awhile

I shall pick myself up
No one else need worry
I will just take my time
As I am not in any hurry

I shall pour out my hurt
Shed my tears into verse
I am sure I shall be fine
It could have been worse

I shall look to the future
Put my heartache to rest
I had to get over all this
That will become the test

I shall set no time limit
This may take me awhile
I will start the new year
Going ahead with a smile
