People hear songs with are nothing more than short words with a short rhyme usually stolen I rebelled against what was a lack of thinking on writing tabular words to get to the short to condense the essence To a degree I was wrong Short loses something that we are now all seeking Enveloped lost unthinking words lost As a short poem for the long that delivered short And the poem was in here Bodger |

I happen to enjoy both long and short poems, and it often depends upon the quality of the imagery, the development of a metaphor, the feeling I get when I repeat certain phrases outloud...yes, the way they roll across the tongue and land in my ears. LOL, does that make sense? Sometimes, a short poem has a much greater impact on me than a rambling write that leads me down a blind alley. |
