In memory’s cloak she sits and waits Outside his mind’s rusted gates For him to call her name, and then She’ll dance into his thoughts, again And he will kiss her, hold her close Tell her that he loved her, most And she will promise not to leave So he will never have to grieve But grieve he does and tears he sheds Holding on to life by threads The whiskey nights and starving days Will lead him to his early grave And that is where he longs to be Beside her for eternity In death, the pain will not be born For memories will be no more. |

Very nice write. Intriguing and very well sculpted. Tomorrow comes for those who fear it. |
