Mosaics form from fractures Of the light that stands outside Vigilant in its duty to chase away the dark As rain drops cling to the spaces In the open mesh of screen Behind which I sit Wondering if there sits too In a vestibule another who watches As the passing front mixes with Warm moist thoughts to create wet That trickles thickly down Breaking light as it goes into Moroccan squares Reminding me of the way Spices smell on bared skin and how it is To find the comfort of colors Blushed pale when light changes And the soft brush of silk no longer Covers the curves shadowed in evening Such storms, should be enjoyed With an exposure of the soul to voids As are left in rainbows and in words that try To paint the colors upon the warmth of skin In a flush of some exhaled sigh Slow-fingered caress of wind Tracing lines as patterns form In a rhythm of movement that follows The natural hollows within There come low soft moans To echo against vacant dreams That rustles leaves in a Sway of limbs And the rumble deep within the heart That lightning’s close To the thunder that follows Shaking loose the tiles of rain Set upon the stillness of clouds Ever rolling in a rush towards the dawn Such hues are born On tip of tongue to be brushed upon The paler forms Where shadows play And lust for rain and you Is born |

Your desert trips make me hungry for dates... and I don't particularly like dates. ![]() Now,let me go pour the sand out of my slippers, so I may sit, and read again. |

Slow-fingered caress of wind Tracing lines as patterns form In a rhythm of movement that follows The natural hollows within There come low soft moans To echo against vacant dreams That rustles leaves in a Sway of limbs And the rumble deep within the heart That lightning’s close To the thunder that follows Capt. Ron, I have never heard the wind, thunder, and lightning described in such a sensual way before. This is so beautiful, Sir. It sure is good to read you tonight. Thank you. Hugs, Ethel |
