The sun staring with it's unwavering eyes Salt fills the lungs with each breath The ocean's tongue laps at the bottom of my board My mind is clear like a crystal ball The rumbling of the ocean's stomach rings through my ears A shear wall follows behind me with it's gleaming teeth showing The sun becomes eclipsed while I am in an ever shrinking tunnel Not knowing if you will make it out Giving up is no longer an option For if I do I may never walk again The sun becomes visible once more I now know that I have escaped the claws of the sea Joy fills my body A smile erupts from my face The price of freedom is great Yet when it come you know you would willing pay the price Even for this taste of nirvana Tomorrow comes for those who fear it. |

I need to apologize for not reading any of your thoughts before today... I can only claim sheer stupidity. It has, indeed, been 24 1/2 years since I have felt the sensations you write about... and reading this makes me remember how great it was. |

Thank you, JamesMichael. Thank You, Margherita. Thank You, Passing shadows. I imagine the waves are absolutely beautiful at the moment. It shows you that even in tragedy there is beauty. I imagine the pictures would be surreal. Thank you, Ringo. Apology excepted, though not needed. Surfing truly is an experience that all should partake in. Tomorrow comes for those who fear it. |
