They appear in her final act as she readies to drop the curtain once more, a deluge of yellow filling out the farmer fields, balancing on ballerina toe, awkard as a schoolboy, as they sway over roadsides on green and amber stilts, they come as the corn dismantles, after climbing the sky from the garden it seeded, the swoon of the sunflowers on this dance without rehearsal, a moment in time/ a timely moment. |

While enjoying a drive in the country yesterday, I passed a field of sad and sorry sunflowers. We had had severe thunderstorms the night before and they wreaked havoc on my Leonine flowers. Their proud heads hung low ~ nearly touching the sod of Mother Earth. May they soon rise and shine as do the ones in your lovely poem, Dear Goddess of Nature! Love, Light, & Sunflowers, Linda |

you did not even have to mention the flower itself, Michele - you caught them right here: filling out the farmer fields, balancing on ballerina toe, awkard as a schoolboy, was just outside looking at mine. Thinking how very much they are like us, beautiful, towering, proud - short lived and bending to the breeze. |

"a moment in time/ a timely moment" and isn't it great when we recognize them as such? Well done! ![]() "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |

Michele, this brought back some really vivid memories of childhood when first I saw a field of sunflowers and marveled at the view. Beautiful painting! ![]() |

nice, flowers, I think just saying "flowers" makes me feel like I have a mouthful of them and they bloom... -GIS Romans 8:28 "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purposes |
