Just what IS the price of gas today? Too high, I say. Think I'll go and buy a good horse. Hey! Just what is the price of hay? Is it high enough yet to make a war go away? * just another repetitive rant write |

They say as emerging countries such as India and China continue to increase their needs to consume more fuel, the prices will move upward accordingly...its already happening...and this is just the beginning....time to make it a priority to develop other sources of energy...James |

I appreciate your thought provoking words. The scientific discoveries regarding alternative energy sources (there exist quite a few) have been silenced and censored, in order to protect those who exploite petrol. In the name of God Money our Earth is suffering and the economies inflate. We are near the turning point where we shall discover the true value of Earth and humanity, or we shall be driven into unsustainable chaos. Love, Margherita :-) |

Well look at ours! http://www.vancouvergasprices.com/ Remember, that 1 US gallon = 3.7854118 liters So ours is over $3.65 a gallon for the cheap stuff! Seeing more and more of those cute hybrids around here now. Rant on Kacy! |

in many countries, the price per gallon (US$) already exceeds $6 while in Venezuela, one of the world's major oil producing countries...it hovers around 12 cents gallon ?what's wrong with this picture? |

I'd be downright tickled with .99 cents a gallon, but that was back in the Clinton days those days are gone what's left to do? |

James makes a good point... where is the exploration in alternative energy? Sometimes I think it goes to the "outer limits"... Rant away, m'dear. You're not alone. |

The price of gas in the UK has doubled that of the US, but there are laws in the making to restrict the use of automobiles, such as taxing per car the miles driven, taxing the bigger cars even more, and on and on. Fortunately, the Prime Minister here is one of the outspoken forces in the Ecology Summit, and is finding ways to enlighten people about the damage done to our Earth. But one person can't do it alone, and we all need to pitch in. Either that or leave a legacy of suffering to our children and their children. I think you've hit on a topic that concerns everyone around the globe, and my hat's off to you....~S~ Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life |

Yes, highway robbery it is! I wonder when the masses will take action. Like a national day of no work might equal the cost of gas for those barely making a living on a wage. Go to work and back could be a half a tank for some, that's at least fifteen to twenty bucks. Figure that against someones net wage and wow! Too expensive to go to work!! Let's take a day off and target their pockets. The economy is moving for the big guys because the little guys keep driving it. So let's stop driving? |

perhaps, this shall be the unravelling of the American way? maybe in the long run, there is a silver lining we should look for? the part that bugs me most is that oil capitalists are getting a golden rainbow from all of this |

Yuppers! I feel the same way Kacy and do agree wish people would start ranting and raving, and taking off their cloths to get the money mongers attention...well, hey, think about it, we could go sit in on the march...hehehe, write poetry, articles, stories and see naked people running around screaming...cheaper gas....and everybody would hit the decks.... wull ya gotta laugh right? |

This made me wonder... if the war was for oil, why have the prices "gone through the roof?" A horse isn't looking too bad these days. "If this grand panaorama before me is what you call God... then God is not dead." |

Humm, I like Midnite's suggestion. Intriquing and would certainly give way to movement.' FYI, in todays Reuters news. I guess there are some country folk who are taking action. "The market also watched for disruption in Nigeria, where some fuel stations shut down ahead of an expected 60 percent hike in fuel prices. Previous government attempts to raise prices have led to crippling general strikes in the world's 8th largest oil exporter." |

out of gas today, must head for the ripoff pumps this evening, and I'm wondering if it will be higher than this morning, when I chose not to stop because I was preoccupied with somethin serious sheesh, I may have to learn how to ride a bike sheesh, why can't I fill the tank with last weeks leftovers from the fridge? I mean, they are usually sufficiently explosive |

The price of gas has been artificially too low for too long. This outcome has been predicted for more than forty years. glider |

Glider, of course you are right, we have not paid the really high price. When it comes to what Americans have paid compared to what many others have been paying, I am not just referring to dollars....hence the horse/hay reference, which was weak at best. Hopefully this 'crisis' will get our collective rears in gear to move to alternative fuels and more efficient modes of transportation, to radically alter lifestyles, consume less of the world's non-renewable resources. Unfortunately, from what I've observed this past two weeks, many seem willing to bite the bullet and just pay more for gas and less for other things. |
