Between the Lines

Each Yesterday

I think,
"What if there was never you?"
leaving me afterthoughts,
allowing the surrendering
of that distant voice hidden
behind beliefs of priorities.

"What if tomorrow only had yesterdays?"
and the shattering of a life
with the losses of many,
the fears that arise from lack of sleep,
too much worry, wondering
if it will ever come to an end.

I lack the words that long
to slip from lips, that want the need
and need the want, the desire of
always a thought stutter, wishing
to be released from hesitation.

I hide those tears,
that flow before and after,
trying hard to be the strength
that cloaks me in mask for others
but for a few I cannot fool...

And wait for the winds of change
to brush me with your touch
of eyes, of unsaid words,
of heart, that mirrors my own.

I think,
"What makes today worthwhile?"
and answer
"Each yesterday of you..."

yes, Lady Yes, cuz with every relationships there are disagreements and hurt, but if we remember those relationships kindheartidly, we seem to be able to find purpose in our own growth...

Sometimes the yesterdays are what keep us going until healing can take place...Your heart bleeds tears with each word in this poem...My heart goes out to you, dear one...*big big hugs*
