Once Once I carved upon a tree The letters I and S for me Surrounded by the shape of heart The symbol of a loving start My oh my how it has grown Who would have guessed its overtone? Twice the size to look and see This heart inscribed upon a tree And as I thought upon its date Its years and age and of my fate A tear slipped down my lower lid And caught upon my symbols ID She still is carved upon my heart And never left it from the start Today we hold our hands in thrall But mostly it’s to stay a fall The carving stays in deep the core But cannot speak the years of awe |

She still is carved upon my heart And never left it from the start Today we hold our hands in thrall But mostly it’s to stay a fall The carving stays in deep the core But cannot speak the years of awe ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This just makes me heart smile.... and reminds me of how adorable you two were that day on the boat...both of yours warmth and sense of humor, I could have stayed for hours listening to your lifes adventures. *ww* |

Seymour, your honey is so lucky to have you. Do you write her a lot of poetry? If so, I'll bet she loves it. Hugs, Ethel |
