let's pretend it doesn't matter eyes don't dart across closed space and hands don't grasp for warmth in the dark we'll say that i'm naive and you're wise that i'll be a writer and you'll be a reader that's all that matters isn't it we'll say our arms don't ache just for company we're alone and peaceful aren't we let's pretend it doesn't matter that the loneliness isn't seeping into our veins like a lethal injection and time isn't ticking by like a time bomb [This message has been edited by exhale (08-16-2005 12:53 AM).] |
