" Mercy! ” Is the plaintive cry From a throat Raw with pleading For a life Not worth living " Mercy! ” Is tattooed in tears From eyes that stare Into the void Of despair As hands raise Again in feeble Supplication Rasping echoes Return in answer It’s resting hour For the higher power |

Trees plead for mercy, but the wind will not listen; should they beg relief, or ask for the strength to stand until no prayer is needed? agreeing with K, here about silence, sometimes we have all the answers right inside ourselves, we just tend to IGNORE those voices, BUT I know how you feel for many a night/day/second, I have felt so very trapped within myself. |
