The Other Side of Silence Wonder not at my silence, this other side where I hold on to shadows in the daylight ~*~ oft’times in your monologues you desire repartee until a mouth opens and you fill it with clap and trap words I wouldn’t choose and you ask me to give my opinion that belongs to you I try to share something, anything to remind me I can step from shadows, only to find myself blocked, stoppered, used as your stage befitting only your greatness ~*~ Wonder not at my silence, but perhaps yes, fear the thoughts that blend well with the shadows. ~*~ Inspired by Hope’s Silence Must Have Reasons /pip/Forum93/HTML/001100.html |

Silence can be used as a weapon....and a very hard one to duck; it also can be turned around and used against itself. I understand this. |

sad, but very true...dear poetess I remember one time, toward the end, and I'm not saying this was right...but he said, "this sauce doesn't taste like mama's" so guess what, he wore it... that was 14 years worth of silence dropped right in the lap of the noose around my neck... Hugs to you...and prayers for you both and know, my heart knows, as do others here ya know, he's missing the best part of you, and someone ought to tell him. |

Silence can kill! Seriously! Biting our tongues and not expressing ourselves is harmful to our health! I used to be like that ~ holding everything in! But not so much any more! I express, express, express! Mind you, I am with someone now who makes it a lot easiers for me! lol So, perhaps I'm not so brave afterall! You closed this poem off perfectly! I felt the quiet power of your words. ~ "Wonder not at my silence, but perhaps yes, fear the thoughts that blend well with the shadows." Love & Light, EA |

Wonder not at my silence, but perhaps yes, fear the thoughts that blend well with the shadows. The silence, can be welcomed, or yes, even feared depending on which end of it your on... Absolutely perfect thought and presentation oh dear lady of white.... yesterday is gone |
