Could You Cradle Me For Awhile

Can I cry upon your shoulder
When I’m feeling a little weak
Will you put arms around me
Assure me of love you speak

Bring me warmth and comfort
Giving a hug when feeling low
Will your lips whisper tenderly
Stroking cheeks as tears flow

Restore me with reassurance
Nestle me close to your chest
Will you hold me and rock me
Bring relief from my loneliness

Lifting my chin with your hand
Soothe me with a gentle smile
Will you hold me close to you
Could you cradle me for awhile
