Cloud Watching - Dragons

Limestone, blood colored remains of the day
Puff creatures, painted in burnt oranges
Their tails passing over head, how shy, yet
Appear to know their meaning
The here and now
In the pinks of sunset
Rendering shapes, dancing in western breeze
Puzzling, remote antiquity
Dependent upon, silent verbal skills
Winged instinct follows habitual
Seeking arid climates
Reptilian occupation, mystery long gone
Ancient cataclysm, flying pathway prolonged
Reminding me to touch equivalence
Reminding me of counterparts suggested
Coining air shafts….in my pocket
Celestial time makers, upstream
Earthbound observers, we….
Over millenniums of time…
Within the mind’s eye
Precision is the past or future
