The overthrow of summer |

Beyond the reach of summer autumn pirouettes; slow at first, sensually, capturing the feel of what is yet to be. Swirling so, still unseen, passionate desire, the force behind the death of midsummer days, serenades in tuneful voice the pre-ordained overthrow of summer’s honesty. Beats sun its wrath to land but strength like fantasy succumbs to reality and weakened are its rays from heart into heartlands. The hand of destiny an unenlightened entity resplendent in denial of summer’s need to live in the fullness of new growth. Unstable on this platform of earth’s restlessness I become as the summer sun sucked into the vortex of a one-time memory dormant till the call to rise up as before. Green to brown, leaves to ground, and who can presuppose the worth of withdrawal of love’s powerhouse, the sun? Helen / 18 March 2005 |

I need to read this a few times Helen. I'll print it out and come back on it. Dave |

Hi, Dave - Maybe this is one of those pieces that only makes sense to me but summer here is definitely on the way out like so many other things in life. |
