I still don’t know how to put that moment into proper perspective, for there was nothing proper about it. But to assign it to some hidden corner, some remote refuge of my memory banks just doesn’t seem right either, and so I sit here silently... holding onto crystalline fragments of you as if they could somehow add up to more than the sum of you in fleeting thoughts or illusionary actions. And even if I never am able to put it all together? each puzzle piece is meaningful, in its solitary confinement. I just haven't yet found the proper perspective. |

Enjoyed the analogy of a moment and puzzle, Good open poetry, This style fits the subject And is made to work by the phrases. Usually I prefer a stricter form, But this shows why it is accepted Where style fits mood. Gloom |

"holding onto crystalline fragments of you as if they could somehow add up to more than the sum of you" We always seem to want the sum of more than they were... ![]() "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |
