I take away the white of morning the grey of rainclouds and green of springtime the pink and purple of the flowers the red of sullen, waiting hours I remove the blue of noontime with sunshine blazing through the skylight the indigo of dusk in winter with deep and solemn charcoal forming I refrain from showing violet or painting mellow shades of yellow to show the world there is one colour instead I give the black of mourning in which all the colours of life are hidden Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Kethry...This is so sadly touching and a wake up call for sure, cause alone in our lives there is no color but black...Paul ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ |

Black - yes, the absorbtion of all - I send to you white - to reflect the rainbow and light the world once again with color - enjoyed the thoughts behind this - Susan If I wander far enough, long enough, will I finally know . . . |

I remove the blue of noontime with sunshine blazing through the skylight the indigo of dusk in winter with deep and solemn charcoal forming ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I just love this creative and clever write Keth... you put a poetic twist on the colors and created a vivid wash of imagery while fading them out to enhance the impact of your inspired theme. Very well done...so good to read you again. one drop, an ocean ... one seed, the forest ... one leaf, the wind ... |
