from the journal of an insomniac gone mad

it's the madness caught within
my womb
how flesh_like you stand before me
caught in the black
  black          BLACK
of this pregnant moment

we, loved
too late
    i, loved
too much the mist of you
blatant torture, this night is
creeping across my face
   stay
stay        stay

does the sentiment of flowers lose
its fragrance on nonbelievers
if the spikes outside my window
wear this skin i cower in

would i then be worthy
  would i then find you
not, mortal but
ever
       after
we sleep
  after we love
after the sun steals from the midnight sheath
our sweat
a pearls ransom lingering on horizons found
in a vulture's eye
creep
creep               creep

one side of my body weak
one
    hand open
i am my own nightmare
i am not the whisper
  subtle and demure
school-girl plaid and chaste

i laced my tongue on your thigh
at midnight
swallowing your plea for me
to remember
           her
but she never mattered
  to me
she
   never cared that you were
me and we
    and us

and that your voice
  your thrusting seed will always
be
  mine

Wow...

I liked the wild, untamed nature of this.  And all of the feeling too.

Excellent.

Love this Snow. Looks like I have a lot of reading to do as soon as I get my computer fully up and running again. Caught 3 viruses and had to format the hard drive and start all over again. LOL! Really got to stop visiting those, "Hot girls want you," sites. ROFLMAO!

Good lord, you always give me goosebumps.
This writing was fearless and vulnerable at the same time. stunning. I'm sure that makes no sense to you, but it does me.

your amazing...shivers run up and down my soul after reading you....amazing, the passion you evoke, the blatant honesty, pure and realistic, in forms and shapes of images, sounds....the reader feels and hears...amazing!!!  Did I say, amazing?

all of the insomniac poems are very personal (to me) (not all of my writing is based on fact... that would be why i call it creative writing *smile*) anyway.... your comments to this one really mean so much to me. as they always do, but when i hide so much in layers upon layers in other pieces and then throw *me* into the ones in this series, well... you help make the exposure not so painful.

thank you all very much.

A challenge from Ed -- spend a moment today, thinking about how we should treat a good person who is one of PiP's finest poets....if not this one, then one of your choice....it seems we need to.
