Remember years ago, in the mountains around Big Bear Lake in Calif., seeing just such a scene and bending down, taking a drink of that icy stream...you've described exactly what I saw my friend...and I thought it could never be put to words.

These days bring time challenges; it may be a few days before I'm able to greet your post, but I'm certainly looking forward to reading your poetry as soon as I'm able. an enchanting write m'friend...

I could see this and I truly appreciated the use of repetition and how you switched it up like that, and left this reader (moi) with the implication of the first verse echoing without the duplicate underscore. Very subtle and it gave the piece gentility.

Much Enjoyed.

Misc'e...I missed this...but then it found me...

and it is in a word...breathtaking in imagery.

I know this spot...I saw it in CA...in the hills...in Yosemite....

I stood and felt the bath of summer mountains....
