How I love you In each breath I draw, each thought imbibed As if in but a brush of fate my soul was lit So sure the feeling of forever, calm and kindled That sanity removed my skin as if a robe And draped my body in a satin that was mostly you At times to lose all reason with my breath as hope Holding you in my eyes, my most inadequate eyes And yet, from far away you stood, giving me my sight Holding out your hand and leading me to courage Miles in a moment that could not delay the day Drown in a deluge of insecurities and longing Fidelity but an effortless advance As I am yours, in heart and soul And all that are my dreams, to share a love too deep to end Belong beside you, in a purpose that was made in the breath of God Copyright Kkh 3/6/05 |
