Silence Continues On I have tried to reach often They continued to ignore Their silence seems to say They need me no more I never found the answers As they silently departed Their silence continues on I am left broken hearted My heart can feel the void As a friend disappears Silence continues to echo Had I fallen on deaf ears They never said goodbye It seemed so underhand Years we had been friends I still cannot understand Never intentionally hurt me That was what they said Did they ever stop to think A lonely heart feels dead Hope©2005 |

Often I don't think people think about the many ways others can interpret what they say. I, for one, am like a bull in a china shop when it comes to tact. My intentions are good, but sometimes the words just don't come out right because my friends and I come from different basis of understanding. Does this make any sense? I bet they are still your friends, but are just having a little trouble with communication. Hope so... You write hurt well. ~sadie |
