Mmm... Potato. Mounds of mouth watering mashed potato mysteriously manage to maintain their mountainous features Miracously many malnutritioned men march towards me menacingly man-handling knives and forks. Masses of mash were munched, much mirth was had maybe more mash needs to be made or maybe not. Guess what I had for my dinner tonight. Ok so I overestimated how many potatoes I needed to use to make mash for one. I ended up with mash for four, thankfully me flatmates turned up and helped me eat it. Andrew |

Thank you for the replies, I’m sort of working through writers block and although this is pretty silly it helped me get back into the saddle so to speak, if you hadn’t guessed already I’m a huge fan of mashed potato as well but it was my first time cooking it for myself. Andrew |

I'll have you know that you are responsible for the last twenty minutes I just spent in the kitchen, boiling and mashing, butter and milk...salt and pepper...and about 3000 calories and it's 8 in the morning! I love them with the skins mashed in! |

These thoughts (poetically so well put here) certainly are worth learning young. Reseach a few years ago showed that given the choice of an evening of satisfying sex or a meal of properly prepared potatos the majority of women chose the potatos. Perhaps that is why so many men work so hard to be couch potatos? |

Hmmm! Are you sure that the mash you ingested was potatoes?!? lol I LOVE mashed potatoes! I love them plain or all doctored up with onions and cream and real bacon bits! Mind you, I have to munch on raw carrots the next day! Mashing is smashing! EA |
