Break Your Heart

When someone you
care for walks away
from you it might
break your heart, but
what happens in your mind.
While you didn't want to
live without them, you
now find yourself having
no other choice but to
do just that.
You find yourself wondering
how somone that professed
to care for you could
be so cold as to walk
so warmly away from you.
Wallowing in that world
of hurt and rejection
you start to understand
how temporal feelings of
desire can be, and
you begin to understand
that the only way you will
be released from your misery
is to let them go.
And then, as you start to
feel the comfort and the
freedom of letting go, they
change their mind for
some ridiculous reason,
and want to come back,
but by then you've
found your strength
so you say no, knowing
that no matter what your
thoughts tell you, your
heart will never allow
you to trust them again...

Fortunately I am writing this from the experience of a relationship from long ago...its no fun to go through a heartbreak...
Sorry to hear that your brother in law is experiencing this Sea...a relationship becomes very hard when the trust is broken...James

Know the feeling. Happened three times - with the same person.

After the third time, my heart closed to her.
