Hours To The Grave

rising above the steel grey mist
surrounding the monuments
of those come and gone ...
and here
in the gravest of moments
where beginnings always end
and shadows have time to play
with those come and gone ...
and here
but only for just today
for time does stand still
in hours to the grave

"In life's giving ... love is a gift, such worth living."

If it wasn't right, wasn't real ...
then why did it make us feel ....?

sorry everyone ... just doesn't show .... tried it with different tags ... not sure why?

It was a pic of a city in the early morning fog, sktscrapers looking like gravestones .... it fit well.

Hope I can figure out why.

Craig, I like the poem, and I bet the pic went well. That is just the problem I had with pics on here. Just couldn't make it happen.
Nicely written, anyway.

when you upload a photo into photobucket, it says:

"Valid file types: jpg, gif, png, bmp, swf"

JPEG is not listed here...not a valid file...

you'll get it..I have faith

Your words are explicit enough not to need a picture.  Good writing!

beautiful pic and poem here but the picture is huge!

just a friendly tip: in photobucket you can click "edit" and and reduce the size of the picture. I used to use the "75% of original" reduction.

A picture as big as this could use the "50% of original" reduction...if the picture is not as big as this, then the 75% should do
