Collecting green places pure
in a venue of oceanic waters
urban tapestries walking forth
unified in fusing colors
he rested his glasses so i could
see his eyes, metaphorically
“we’re still singing!”,
my heart poured out

an exercise, a backward poem
learns by heart, perhaps
perhaps…
an overstatement of love
who ever meets capable feelings?
making leisurely life, obtainable, possible
spring allows the moonlight thru
doesn’t it?
petals watch, carrying a sunset
where a village mushrooms

and i,
i, climb with the moon
only,
equal to a maple leaf
mulching imagery,
sealing connection
manners of mind’s intensity
views great swans
stepping out of my body
transcending,
toward
a beautiful part of nature
jasmine is ours
anxious
radiant
approaching
wearing the scent
of those long days
beside…
shadows of mid day tunes
of which
only you…
only you
could speak
i dreamed your mind
in a school of every fluttered pulse
your voice became my ears
light rolled into my nostrils
resting on a now clear morning
mixing the senses
of dreams
of hope
of reality…mine...
but it wasn't yours

sparkling like wet dewed roses
the first one, you gave me
and the glow you left behind
like your tears tied to my heart
feeling your desires
your heartbreaks
your fears
it wasn’t you who delivered scar tissue
it was the ways
of an unexpected world

now,
standing on a cold mountain…alone….
looking down at the few gold pieces
in my palm
drifting me towards a birth…

you left behind, a hope chest
of weaknesses turned to earth
i could never understand the thing
until now
collecting those green places
of everything inside
gathering flocks
of doves
and the last mistaken
good...
undressing me...

and perhaps from that
I will love more wiser
more purer
more...
