what would happen
if i let you hold the tips of my fingers
and hope you feel my heartbeat

what would happen
if i told you that i'm having troubles breathing
and no amount of oxygen would help

i'm pulling out my hair
and ripping up my clothes
i am an empty vessel

i'll make my rounds

but please
find something
for me to put in my heart
so it doesn't get so cold at night
when there's nothing
to stop the thoughts from coming
and all i am
is me

sorry it's been a while.
you need to open the door
before the air can come in.
