It Slips and Slides Slipping, sliding, in my brain Seeping through my mind, like rain Dust of thoughts that glow and spark Light a theater in the dark Phantoms play in amber glow Spirits speak in somber woe Shadows action flicker quick Sound and filigree too thick Motion rides a charging horse In and out a changing course Blazing through the mist of time Raising powders dust and grime And I in rage and fires awe Try to pierce the shell of core Head long into the abyss Form into a chrysalis And when I wake I shed a tear So far away and yet so near |
