Overlooking the valley, from a high tower, above her kingdom, the Emerald queen sighed mournfully. A great fired roared in the grate, her familiar sat dozing in it's heat. Gently calling in dreams, the canine was magic, being able to talk. Hearing his mistress approach, he roused from his slumber. ''Can i help you majesty'', he said , jumping into her lap. ''Trusted poesy, you cannot help'', she said, stroking his small sleek body. ''People just humour me, bend to me'', ''is there nobody who will say no''? Love comforteth like sunshine after rain. The Emerald Queen sounds dominating...love should never be a demand..but free...one thing that you helped me to see...LOL I didn't mean to rhyme... nice poem...but my favorites are the ones you write about everyday simple things...the ones with feeling and passion overflowing throughout. nature and the beauty you see inside the little things... ~ARH We attract hearts by the qualities we display, we retain them by the qualities we possess.~Jean Baptiste Antoine Suard |
