Nary A Laugh

I saw my girl
in the mall
with another man,
she was laughing
and kissing him,
and they were
holding hands.

Now I know that
we were not a match,
she was never
that happy with me,
rarely a smile,
nary a laugh.

Did you believe
this was true.
Come on, you
can tell me.
Just thoughts
after watching
couples walking
in the mall.
Some seem so
happy together
and some sad.

Well, I beleive that it CAN be true.  I have seen several "happily married" couples that weren't with the right couple if ya know what I mean lol

And, personally... I have always said that you could learn more by just watching as opposed to saying anything.

Some people have the saddest eyes, and you wonder what that person must have gone through in their life to make them so sad...

Then, there are those that laugh and giggle like freaks all the time and you wanna pinch their head off hehe, cause NO ONES life can be that perfect.

Then again.. life is what you make it, and there are some people that are just happy no matter what - people like that make me nervous

Great write James - you made me think, and that is what I love about poetry

)))hugs(((

I don't think a woman with a man as romantic as you, could be so stupid
I know what you mean about watching people, I like to do that...

But perhaps its not the smiles or the tears or kisses, but the moments of silence.  I think Losing some one is not so much pain as regret.  But always I remember those moments were I didn't have to be me or anything but silient.  Those moments are so precious, those peaceful moments.  I just moved on from the guy I fell head over heals for before I got sick. I thought he was woderful, but I could never write poetry about him, about moments he touched my hand or smiled. And I could never remember his face or his eyes.... Which is why I refused to kiss him after a month of flirting and blushes.   I looked in to his eyes and still i did not know the color of his eyes.  I guess it is because I could never have that moment of peace with him with out noticing those detials about him.

Sounds horrible, but I don't think it would of never of worked.  I think I am over him, in fact I saw him the other day.  On a date.  HE saw me studying and uncomfortably took his date the other direction.  This made me smile or kinda laugh, because he never could consintrate on the person he was with, but every thing else.
