Beyond a distant mountain peak,
Beyond the realm of mortal’s seek,
Lays a land of unseen splendor,
Lays a land of muse’s render,
It is the land of Terpsichore,
Who dances ‘cross high valley’s floor,
Singing songs of heart’s disclose,
‘Mid rainbowed gardens of the rose,
She comes down from heaven’s high,
To waltz below a clear blue sky,
On terra firma, but is not,
For this wondrous alpine spot,
Is but heaven in disguise,
Fallen from night’s welkin skies.
Cannot you hear her beauteous song,
Of one true love and passion’s long?
Cannot you see far mountain’s peak,
Beyond the realm of mortal’s seek?
Close your eyes and hear the song,
And feel the yearn of passion’s long.
