I dreamed I rode
a wild ,white mare
she whispered in my ear

she sang to me
a slow sweet song
a lovely sound to hear

she gave me thrills
climbed highest hills
a magic ride indeed

she left me there
without a care
she's searching for her steed

did I find her?
did she find me?
she would not bring me home

I dreamed I rode
a wild, white mare
but now she's free to roam

I have one...
of a different sort,
she's white, and black,
but does not snort,
she has a wooden leg,
but a bridle, true,
she was a kind gift,
and "Wildfire" will do...

I should send you the picture, Adagio...
the mare was gifted to me a few birthdays ago...

As my daughter rides mostly grey/white horses (Lipizzaners)...stallions, geldings and mares,
this poem caught my eye!
And it's an enjoyable read!
I'm happy for the freedom of that mare. ~sigh~
such a beautiful sight to see

There is something about wild horses that is very erotic...Maybe it's freedom. I felt that in your poem. Enjoyed!
