Last night I dreamt of long agos Of summer suns and winter snows, Of the house where I was born, On a long ago September morn, How can it seem to be right here, With sound so crisp and view so clear? I hear the voice of brother Steve, I see Dad’s Chevy, and I do believe, Down the street there’s Jackie Sue, With pony tail and eyes of blue, Laughing, smiling, full of glee, Running up the block to me, Well Jackie Sue’s now Jacquelyn, I’ve not seen her since who knows when, Brother Steve’s done moved away, And Dad don’t drive no Chevolet, But it don’t matter none to me, Because last night I still could be In the house where I was born, On a long ago, September morn. |

I've had so many thoughts of long agos lately, and this serves to drive them home to stay. So I thank you for that Tim. I dunno, I suppose it's an age thing, and this is your/my life's slide show. |

JB, it's because we keep the best of our memories with us...just like in childbirth, ofttimes the "pain" of the bad memories fade away. Not always, but sometimes. Thank you, Tim, for a lovely read on this Juneish day... |
