Three Friends Little stars on silver pond Dance on glass and float along Milky moon in lustrous phase Strips of pearl on rippled glaze Crystal tears on cheeks of rose Crimson heartaches gently pose Willow‘s swaying, bending limb Hums a lover’s saddest hymn Swishing lilts of teardrop leaves Lifted by the evening breeze Rustling whispers meant to calm Lonely heart with solemn song Here I sit by silent lake Pondering my grave mistake Stars and moon and willow tree Such is sorrow’s company Elizabeth Santos |

this so aptly attributes those deep moments, when humans seem to enjoy an alone bittersweet moment, and in that we learn to comfort the atrocities of life...we learn to accept the essense of it all...and we know, we've done nothing wrong...we just grew along the way, with our children...with our friends, with the hum of nature... Hugs to you, my poetess lady, you are incredible! |

Stars and moon and willow tree Such is sorrow’s company Truer words were never spoken! I saw a willow tree drop a tear Watched it float to the grass near. I picked it up and felt its grace Hoping I could see her face. Time erases many things too soon, Except sorrow, Willow, stars, and moon. |

What could I possibly say that hasn't already been said.... Beautifully bittersweet!!!! Bridgette "Somewhere, somehow, it should be possible to touch someone and never let go again. To hold someone, not for a moment but forever." A. Brink |
