Could you imagine where you'd be?
If you watched those films more intensely,
If you immersed yourself in the fake, the seeming,
Lost in the mix-up between being & the meaning,
The cameras, the glamour, the glory,
The tight underpants, brooding muscles, the heroic story,
Pushing hard on exit doors climaxed in aspiration,
Shredding your flashlight sore eyes into the destruction of inspiration,
Leading you down a path of self-understanding, now making you feel pooey,
Using YOUR hand to open the car door, sitting thereafter realizing,
That between the seatbelt and your pounding heart is a reality,
Which after the imaginary curtain sways is the hardest drug to take,
No matter says the salesman, there’s another ticket next week,
There it is - a return to your escape, your encapsulation of the fake.

Oh my have you ever hit the nail on the head...I do so love to get caught up in fantasy so I wrap myself in a blanket of dreams which I try to share in reality with with my grandchildren...Powerful words with powerful thoughts...Well done...*hugs*
