Her skin is as soft
As a January Snow
Her heart and demeanor are just as cold
Hardly speaking but always thinking
Of a past filled with love and regret

A gentle girl with a ghoulish scold
Many men have passed through young and old
None demanding a look or gesture
Only craving lust and texture
Never seeing such a delicate soul

She dreams of night
And all of its frights
Happy she can still evade
She only grins when the Doctor is in
Only because she’s so afraid

Years ago of her I dreamed
Her look, her touch, were so serene
My dreams lasted for some time
Eventually dying when she cried
Because her tears were so sublime
Because her eyes were really mine

It's good to know that there are men who see beyond the surface to discover a beautiful soul.
This is sad, but it holds such sensitivity.
A touching piece.
