time is ticking
but all we hear are the voices of the present
telling us that we can't quit yet

because the present is the present
and life doesn't exist beyond it

but that clock
that clock is ticking
and you can't turn back time

so climb just a little higher
and lie just a little more
and maybe the present will stay the present
and the future
will just be something

I'm a bit late but ... Happy Birthday! The clock ticks in spite of us and to hear it when one is young can only lead to complete enjoyment of each and every day. Most just take time for granted and I was guilty of that.
