“ A Stranger’s Tears ” She takes her place on center stage as she’s instructed too The time is near and so she prays while waiting for her cue She thanks God for this special gift she’s waited for so long But still regrets he isn’t there to watch her sing each song And so the curtain start’s to rise her heart begins to pound She takes a real deep breath and hopes that it will calm her down The lights start dimming all around as music fills the air Her spotlight made it hard to see the people sitting there She lifted up her microphone still feeling insecure But then she saw him sitting there just staring up at her He didn’t look familiar but when she began to sing He gave to her the sweetest smile and that changed everything She suddenly could feel a strength she didn’t feel before Her fears and insecurities were not there anymore And so she kept her eyes on him through every melody For he had been the only one that she could clearly see Yet when the time had come to sing the last one she would do She smiled at him and said “This song I dedicate to you” But when she starts to sing the song that’s when she was aware The smile that she had leaned upon was now no longer there His look was sad and she could see his tears begin to fall And that was when she found the strength she needed after all She knew he didn’t know how hard that song was going to be But she continued singing and she did it perfectly And then she noticed something strange that started taking place With every tear the stranger cried it slowly changed his face To her surprise, she realized that God had heard her prayer Yes, she discovered who he was and why God put him there When she had finished singing and the lights were turned back on She took her bow and then looked up but saw that he was gone And then she heard God say to her “This was your miracle I couldn’t let you close to him for he’s untouchable You must believe how proud he is of everything you do And he’ll be there within your reach still watching over you” She looked again where he had been but now she knew for sure It didn’t matter where she was he’d always be with her God’s plan was so much better than the dream she’d had for years She found her strength and so much more behind “A Stranger’s Tears” ©By: Freda H. Thank You and although I give all the credit to the actual writer "God" without his guidance, it wouldn't or couldn't be done. I do enjoy it here compared to other boards I've been on. It's been very good for me. Thank You again! Tndeer1 |
