Today it is a silence she broods In a furrowed brow of clouds And I watch as her tears come held In a stingy hand of rain Such borrowed time it seems As in the spread of gown she sits Upon the curve of ground and waits With grey eyes cast down turning Lips of doubt into the frown of morning Too early yet to sleep Too late for her to weep the leaves of oak Upon a crown of wind Her patience grows dimly thin And I find myself in a fidget of trees Watching the way she moves Always thinking of you And how it was your hips swayed when you walked Back and forth before the streaked panes of glass Worried about the loss of time or hidden sun Listening as you would to the howl of wind My arms do not sweep away her clouds Nor do my eyes see beyond the edges of her dim But I tried to once upon a time wrap you Up in them And keep you from the cold But it is the slow way of her To hold the sky under her palms Reminding me how it was You felt under mine When in another time she stood this way And spread the silk of sighs In a low breath of limbs |

And how it was your hips swayed when you walked Back and forth before the streaked panes of glass Worried about the loss of time or hidden sun Listening as you would to the howl of wind ~*~ I dare say these streaming words will touch every woman's soul... |

"But it is the slow way of her To hold the sky under her palms Reminding me how it was You felt under mine" as, I am sure, she remembers the feel of your hands upon her. ![]() "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |
