Childhood Daze Eerie echoes of children’s voices fill deserted playgrounds of the mind as shadows play little games of hide and seek Heart swings higher... ever higher... ’up to the moon’ Teeter-totter of emotions... up... down... up... down... ...down... Merry-go-round spins faster... ever faster... as the world spins out of control... Life... a grown-up model of the playgrounds of yesterday... ______________ *Revised Repost... because... |

Revisions of something familiar are good... they show us how much stronger it and we have become. |

Your talent is showing, Ms Vicky! A clever title ~ as is the body of the poem! ~ which had my body and spirit swinging to and fro with your vividly descriptive writing! Let's you and I go to a sun-filled happy playground where you and I can swing together! ~ Hmmm, that didn't come out 'write'! Sending you a loving hug and a bucket-full of new hopes and dreams, Love & Light, Linda |

Another great image. Same play... different stage. Enjoyed. Melton |

Enjoyed the contrast. Remembering the play grounds of days past. Dizzy with fear and yet delighted, enjoying shrieks of laughter. Mixed emotions. The play ground of today is so much more complicated, and still we swing and teeter totter and spin in circles of emotions. Not as much fun as days gone past. With you on this, best martyjo |
