Part of a greater scheme
where cretacious beasts took curtain calls
their brains were small
their lizard heads, tall

from what we read in the books
bipeds waltzed to notions of bigger brains
cultures collapsed against the grain
the tree of knowledge bowed its head
to a greater plan
for people when dead....

part of a greater scheme
previewed by open casket ceremonies
reviewed by heavenly scribes
as in the times of Horus
ones heart was weighed
against ones travesty

diced with glimmers of hope
visions of success at a tunnel's end
perenially skewered to set ammends

for Good, the spirit will survive
the contrary tried, Evil was contrived
under the boughs of a tree of life
where most humans experience strife...

all from the books
from crumpled notes in a desktop nook
cultures inevitably absorbed
deleted, negated
understated
predominant grains survived
wild corns fell to insignificance
the world would never see their like again.

diced with glimmers of hope
that some spirit would then survive
for honey to flow from a tended hive.

We are certainly part of the Plan and though we might lose our Path sometimes, it's that Hope that keeps us going. And one the mysteries will be unveiled, I trust.

Interesting approach to the "Plan".
